Chat Sessions Are Coming!!!!

We once again have the capability to do chats on FanHome.

I'd like to start scheduling some (once a week?) as of the first of the year, leading up to Spring Trainig.

What days/time are good for everyone? I'd like to coordinate it to accomadate as many posters as possible? Sunday Evenings again?

Also - who do you want me to approach?
Some that I had in mind - Cardinal minor leaguers -Cody Haerther, Kyle McClellan
Kary Booher(Springfield News Leader writer)
Derrick Goold (St Louis Post Dispatch)
Matthew Leach (Cards writer - MLB.com)

Just to update everyone - I sent out invites to several people today.

I've had one respond and I'll try to nail down a date with them tomorrow.

How does Sunday nite - Jan 14th sound to everyone for our first chat room session?

I have committments from a minor league prospect and a member of the Cards front office.

Count me in, Bleacher. Sunday nights are usually good. I plan to be out of town for a convention the 1st week of Feb.

Looks like the first session will be on Sunday, January 21st at 9 PM Central time.

We're in the process of creating a private chat room just for this occassion. The session will be open to all Cards fans who have registered with the board. Those wanting to attend will be forwarded the chat room address.

Leading off on January 21st will be John Vuch - recently named as director of minor league baseball operations for the Cardinals. The 2007 season will be John's 20th in the Cardinals' player development department and 29th overall season with St. Louis.

He'll be followed on January 28th by one of the top Cardinal propects - OF Cody Haerther. This past fall Cody was named to the Cards 40 man roster. He played last season with the Springfield Cardinals. Cody was the Cards 6th round selection in the June 2002 draft.

Others to follow include: St Louis native and Cards minor league pitcher, Kyle McClellan. Kyle spent most of the 2006 season rehabbing from Tommy John surgery in late summer of 2005. He pitched briefly with the Johnson City Cardinals last August on his comeback trail. He can be found working for his dad at The Field House (thefieldhouse.org) in Hazelwood, MO during the offseason. Also promising to join us is the voice of the Springfield Cardinals - Mike Lindskog.

I'm currently working on finalizing the dates for Kyle and Mike.

As Grandpa Boog used to say - Stay Tuned.

There be more to come as we get the sessions up and going.

Anywhere from 30 min's to a hour. Maybe a little bit shorter, maybe a little bit longer. Not sure. Will depend on the guest's availability and crowd participation.

I'm please to announce that the Voice of the Springfield Cardinals - Mike Lindskog - will be joining us the evening of February 11th.

The 2007 season will be Mike's 15th year in minor league baseball and his 3rd with the Springfield Cardinals. Here's a link to Mike's bio at the Springfield Cardinals website.
