Odd comment by Wilhelm speaking on the 2B job:
Ryan enjoyed a strong rookie season, hitting .289 in 67 games. But he's a singles hitter whose career on-base percentage in the minor leagues was .344. Wilhelm intends this as a criticism, but even a cursory glance at the numbers notes that Kennedy isn't exactly Babe Ruth out there, and (in an admittedly limited role) Ryan's 'weak' numbers quoted here (.289/.344) clobber Kennedy's career averages (.275/.329). Especially when you take into account the $3 million dollar difference between them, there should be no question who the starter, and very likely the better ballplayer, is.
