Default A Gonzalez, Encarnacion, & Perez

I think this small article is interesting.
Another steroid suspect.
Nice to read about Eduardo Perez.
A little update about Encarnacion.
I hope his eye has a rapid healing.

Three arbitrations!

Other good articles are at the Post-Dispatch site today.
Maybe Glaus won't be hit hard about steroids.
I hope the hard hitting will be the baseball off his Cards bat.

It is nice to see that like in Bleacher's prospects thread that there is some 2008 baseball thought starting.

Well, it looks like our new management will stick to the old pattern.....a 38 year old steroid-tainted player with no position who hasn't taken a meaningful swing in three years? Sign him up!

Nighthawk,
Look at the bright side; If we keep these signings up we should be able to increase payroll by selling pharmaceutical endorsements. Just think about the sleeve of your favorite players uniform jersey saying "This bicep brought to you by XXXX, manufacturing quality HGH for nearly a decade" or "This homerun brought to you by BALCO"

Thanks, Bleach.

I doubt Juan Gonzalez shows up, but you never know.

Quote:
General manager John Mozeliak said outfielder Juan Encarnacion continues to receive treatment for his injured eye. Mozeliak said he is waiting for team doctors to see Encarnacion but added: "Whether he'll play or not (in 2008) I would say it's probably likely he will not." Encarnacion's orbital bone and left eye were damaged by a foul ball on Aug. 31.
For some reason, I was thinking it was his right eye? Either eye would be sorely missed. Get well, Juan E.
