Manno to Braves as Asst GM

Bruce Manno has landed on his feet and has been hired by the Braves to be Asst GM to the new GM Frank Wren.

Manno leaves Cards front office to join Braves as assistant GM by CBSsportsline

Manno was hired by the Cards as Director of Player Development in 2002. He served in that capacity till the fall of 2006 when he was replaced by Jeff Luhnow. Walt Jocketty then named him Director of Pro Scouting.

Manno was shown the door the day after Walt Jocketty was canned by Bill DeWitt.

Perhaps the Cards and the Braves might become trading partners during the off-season, hummm? ... much like the Cards and the Rockies after Walt J came over to the Cards?
