During a week of upheaval inside the Sonics' front office, radio play-by-play announcer David Locke became the latest employee to be fired. The team removed his posts from its Web sites on Friday, terminated his two-year contract and notified employees of the decision in an e-mail.

He was also the Director of Broadcasting, but that was post the Sonics decision to go away from their long time home at KJR.

He had been an advocate for the team staying in Seattle prior to being hired by the team.

One year in his dream job, that's all they gave him...one year on a third rate station

The reason he got fired was because he sucked!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What the Sonics did was rather low.

It is all part of the grand conspiracy to remove all things Seattle from this franchise. Lenny Wilkens, Jack Sikma, and Ray Allen makes for pretty good company.
