Seahawks re-sign Engram to a multiyear contract

KIRKLAND, Wash. (AP) -- The Seattle Seahawks have re-signed Bobby Engram to a multiyear contract even though they already have a stable of younger receivers in place.

Team president Tim Ruskell said Friday that experience and Engram's rapport with wide receivers Darrell Jackson, Deion Branch and Nate Burleson were among the reasons the 34-year-old is coming back for a seventh season in Seattle.

Terms were not immediately available. Engram's agent, Mitch Frankel, did not immediately return calls.

Pretty good resigning for the Seahawks. Boy do they have a bunch of wideouts on their roster, and most of them are pretty talented.

Hopefully Bobby will be back healthy next season after only playing 7 games, but he is a good veteran to have on a team

They signed a tightend already. That's why they Stevens go.

The O-line still has issues.

The signing of a TE was unrealated to why Stevens was let go. If i remmber correctly it was because of extracricular activty is reason why he is gone now.

The O-line still has issues. __________________ I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
