This is one of those games that if looked at merely as a game of NFC v AFC should be an easy call in the Browns favor. That look would be simplistic and wrong.
The Browns have a net -9 points v the Seahawks +29 Sure the Seahawks have trouble running the ball, and their receiver corp has been hit with injuries, and Seattle is on the road, but this game is all about the integration of the now healthy Pork Chop Womack into the Offensive Line. How that fares will determine the victor, because if Alexander can run, even as well as the '04 or '06 version this game should go to Seattle as passing lanes open. You should continue to see Seneca in for a few plays a game as Fry should have the playbook down by now. Seattle's Offense: Passing 12th, Rushing 22nd Seattle's Defense: Passing 16th, Rushing 13th Browns' Offense: Passing 9th, Rusning 14th Browns' Defense: Passing 9th, Rushing 14th I expect this game to go Seattle's way as I'm a partisan in this battle, but I don't think many people will see it as it will be televised against the Patriots@Colts conflict. Other Division Games Arizona (3-4) @ Tampa (4-4) SF (2-5) @ Atlanta (1-6) StLouis (0-) BYE

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |
