After Seattle's disappointing road performance they get to take on a strong offense (72 points scored). The dynamic Chad Johnson - Carson Palmer connection looks to continue, but they will face a stronger defense from Seattle (29 points allowed).
Seattle's Offense gets the opportunity to score (Bengals 71 allowed), and they could use a strong game after their early struggles (40 points scored). In offfield news Babineux was signed to a five year extension Division Games San Fran 2-0 @ Pitt Arizona 1-1 @ Balt StLouis 0-2 @ Tamp Great week to gain some ground

Seattle's ability to stop the run this game has impressed me, unfortunately they haven't been able to dent the Bengals passing game while Palmer uses the no-huddle. Alexander has been mediocre, and if not for some good special teams play Seattle wouldn't have the points they do have.
I still feel good, but Cinci looks more than decent.

Clutch special teams performance nailed that game for Seattle.
Each divsion opponent loses and so Seattle moves into a tie for first with next week's opponent, the 49ers

You have to be happy with the defensive effort against a very powerful offense. Palmer, Johnson, and Houshmanzadeh were as advertised. Some great play in the secondary. Special teams certainly played well.
The offense was a different story. the Bengal defense is awful and they were banged up. Burleson had a good last drive to avoid wearing the goat horns. It would have been a very ugly week for him if the Seahawks lost. |
