I hear that Ibanez isn't going to bat third and I get excited. I feel like there is a willingness to change and address the issues facing this offense, but low and behold, who is batting second again - Vidro, the worst two hitter on the club.

I don't harbor any illusions anymore that they've "figured it out". Doing the right thing 2 months after it should have been done is not figuring it out.

Speaking of tonights game, did anybody see Brandon Morrow? Holy crap that was the best appearance he has had all year long. Excellent command combined with high velocity and the best consistent splitter I have ever seen him throw. AND he did it for multiple innings.

Just a fluke or Morrow finally figuring things out?

Ben Broussard is starting tonight. The Richie Sexson era is on pause, though he is likely to start Friday v Lester. This may be a platoon.

I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
