This is something we never did at the old forums, so I figured we'd do it here. Let's get to know each other a little better shall we? Introduce ourselves to everybody who is new, and perhaps reintroduce ourselves to those of us who have been around for a while.
This is by no means the template that needs to be used, just something I'm throwing together. Real Name:Darren Age:20 Where do you live?Aberdeen,Washington Occupation:Surveillance Favorite All-Time Mariner:Ken Griffey Jr. Favorite Current Mariner:Jose Lopez/Adrian Beltre Favorite Mariners prospect:Tony Butler Favorite Mariners moment:The Double and Felix's first home game Favorite Band:Guns N Roses Favorite Movie:The Shawshank Redemption and Field of Dreams Did you play baseball(professional or not) and if so, what position?:Yep, and first base. |

Real Name: ADP (to Seahawk fans)
Where do you live? Maryland Favorite All-Time Mariner/Sonic/Seahawk: Ken Griffey Jr./Gary Payton/4 Way Tie Favorite Current Mariner/Sonic/Seahawks: Jose Lopez/Rashard Lewis/Marcus Trufant Favorite Mariners prospect: Adam Jones now that Asdrubal Cabrera was traded Favorite Players Never To Dawn A Seattle Uni: Tony Gwynn (MLB), Bubba Franks (NFL), Barry Sanders (NFL), Michael Redd (NBA), and Nash/Nowinski (NBA) Favorite Mariners moment: Griffey homering twice at the Orioles game, one of them sailing just over my head, where I coulda caught had I have a glove. He also waved at me while in CF in that game...though we lost. Favorite Band: In order: Nirvana, Faith No More, Guns N Roses, Tupac Favorite Movie: Scarface. Also like Carlito's Way, Pulp Fiction, Shawshank Redemption, Dangerous Minds, Edwards Scissorhands, Banderas' Desperado, Interview With A Vampire, Fargo...the list goes on and on. Play Any Sports? Im currently a Cornerback in football. Id be in college had I have money or didnt blow out my knee in high school, costing me any shot of a scholarship. Im not giving up on that or baseball yet, though im 20 now...with no signs of hope for the most part. In baseball I play Catcher, 1st base, or the OF. My swing is modeled after Griffey (for connection and speed), Gwynn (pitch recognition), and Delgado (fouling off pitches until I get what I want). Also, Ive played very good pitchers at my level two years ago, and Ive always been a guy where you wont get away with the same pitch twice. I always find a way. I used to play A+ defense in baseball until the knee problems drove me away from the sport too long. Now I can only catch with one hand, and its the same hand I throw better with. Im still a dangerous CB with good coverage, but I lack burning speed and I cant tackle too well. If I do hit you, it will hurt...I can drop the Hammer. Im always trying to improve, but I am a tad arrogant with sports. I worked for over a decade improving my game in those two, so I feel I earned the right to act knowledgeable. If you wanna play, feel free. I've shut down some very good players in football, and I even won an MVP award two years running in an underground league. Greatest Sports Playing Moment: Several amazing interceptions I made. One I tipped, and was plowed before I could recover...when all the ground, I lunged fully extended and managed to one hand the deflected ball. Stuff like that. For baseball, it was my first appearance after being drafted #1 overall in little league. I launched a pitched off the fence for a triple. I also liked walking back to my little league teammates thanking me after I took up for them and myself by yelling at the ump, causing a scene after he constantly called horrible strikes on us. Ill never forget that, I felt like a leader. Last Tidbit: Im known as ADP on 12 Seahawks Street, a very free and fun site thats pretty popular. We recently connected with Seahawks Blue, which is very popular, and also a great place. Link to the Street is in my profile, and from there you can get to the Blue. One Last Thing To Know About Me: I tend to rant. The word DUH comes to mind. : ) |

Real name: Dean
Resides: British Columbia, Canada Favorite all time Mariner: Bob Kearney Favorite current Mariner: Jose Lopez and Yuniesky Betancourt Favorite Mariner prospect: Jeff Clement Favorite all time player: Will Clark Favorite Band: Foo Fighters Favorite movie: Field of Dreams Played baseball? Yes, was a catcher and had 2 consecutive tryouts with the Canadian National Youth team. Did not make the team either year but it was still an honor to be selected to tryout. Ended up having Macky Sasser syndrome and couldn't throw the ball back to the pitcher. Switched to outfield and to my credit made all star teams as an outfielder.
