great to lock him up for three years. Good value.
Plus its nice to not really have a question mark at a position like that.

Seems like a good deal for a change. Club Option is for $8.6 mil seems to be a good forecast of closer's value in 4 years, considering K-Rod gets $7 mil in today's dollars.
Putz is a solid anchor for our pen and should be here for the duration. Hopefully we will be able to get to him with the lead. |

Locked up. Who did he call? (On an article centered around phone calls.) Clever. JJ in the Mariner slammer for the next three years....
I remember JJ more as a nail-biter than nails, but his numbers last year were outstanding. I suppose I remember 2004~2005 better than 2006 for some reason. But I'm happy with the signing. Welcome to the baseball big house, JJ. Let's light some fires. ![]()
