I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. Oh definitely. Ichiro has the talent and name recognition that anything less than a Kings ransom is unacceptable.

I would say Brian Sabean is worse than Bill Bavasi(one of the few that is).
So maybe the stupidity would cancel each other out?

How would the Zito deal affect Seattle in such a way that the club here would get rid of their only truly marketable star? Also, SF still doesn't have any pitching depth, and that is the Mariners biggest need. I don't see dealing Ichiro for pitching to be an acceptable contingency plan.
