How? What? Why?
How can Bavasi do this? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I wish I was a Cleveland Browns fan, everyone says the are the most suffered fan, not when Bavasi is done with us. |

The Bad is that the Mariners are paying Vidro 6M$ per year for two years to play at a 5.3ish RC/27. That is a bad value even in this market. Also bad is that I no longer get to root for the Jedi playing for my club. I won't miss Fruto, but I will desperately miss the one guy who plays with the heart that Snelling has. May the Force be with you Doyle.

You know what? I'm actually hoping that Snelling fails his physical.

Well, looks like we'll be going from 116 wins to 162 losses...
So then when we hit the trade deadline, Bavasi trades Ichiro for Joel Piniero or Gil Meche, whichever has the highest ERA above 5.00. This is just plain stupid. Not only to trade Snelling and Fruto, mostly Snelling, but to get Vidro and pay most of hist contract makes me want to puke. Seriously, there has to be somewhere where we can check Bavasi into, his drug/alcohol problem or mental disablity problem. I seriously think he has a problem of some sort. |

Its like the guy hasn't read a paper. Signing one pitcher isn't "some pitchers." And this lineup was only better at the end of the season, one of those starters just got dealt

All I know is that Vidro was one hell of a player when he wore an Expo uniform.
I haven't checked his stats but I'm guessing he hasn't done much in a Nationals uniform. Interesting to see what else happens over the next little while. |

I would put myself in the suicide watch group, but with my severe anxiety, and heart problems, im sure the mariners will kill me before i ever get the chance.
Betancourt was cleared of charges, according to SI... Unless this involves a trade for Dontrelle Willis or Bonderman via Beltre or Sexson, this is ridiculous. Ive seen FO do desperate things...but never this desperate. They're trying to rebuild the 2004 team---aging vetarns and no young guys. Trade one of the best young relievers in the game for crap...then trade one of the very few plate disciplined players in our entire organization for a guy like Vidro. Basically we're trading Snelling for a backup, OR...we're trading Snelling AND Lopez (going to the becnh) for Vidro. I hate this team so f'ing much. I almost wished that 1995 team never lured me like it did. Ridiculous. |

Nearly as important for Washington, however, is that Seattle has agreed to pay $12 million of the remaining $16 million left on Vidro’s contract for 2007 and ‘08.
-Wa Post. That means hes starting. Either a deal has been made or Lopez is being benched. Or the outside chance of BCourt actually being jailed. Not one of those 3 things is a good thing for us. We all know if their is a larger deal in place with Sexson or Beltre, we'll be raped again. |

My god, what if they think he's the DH next year?
His .776 LH OPS and .775 RH OPS over the last three years are very inspiring for a DH aren't they?

So our DH will bat .290/.340/.395, 5 homers, 30 XBH? Wow, good thing we are putting Ibanez and his horrible glove in left and getting rid of Snelling. How is this deal possible? I for one am going to tear Bavasi a new one at Fanfest if he has the balls to show up again. Maybe I'll be lucky enough to make him cry off of the top of the dugout and resign right after.
