Snelling IS great, period, when healthy. There is no doubt in mind he would be one of the best overall hitters on this team over the course of a year. Fruto doesn't mean anything to me. He is better than Mateo though.

Engine problems cancel his flight from Puerto Rico to Miami

Vidro's physical is now scheduled for Monday.

well - i'm not sad to see Snelling go - he was injury prone and I felt he needed a new start on a new club - same as Meche. Hopefully he can go onto a fruitful career in a new situation.

So is anyone hoping that we capture lightning in a bottle twice with Vidro?

When Boonie was signed in 2001, he was a second baseman that had had some success in his career but had fallen off in the mind of his former employer.

Maybe Vidro will rededicate himself in the same way Bret did and return to the tremendous season's that he had earlier in his career. He's by no means over the hill at this point.
