The Padres need a 2nd basemen.

Here's a question for yeah. If Jose Lopez gets dealt for Jake Peavy, does this trade look any better?

The aforementioned Rosenthal story

Quote:
The Mariners are set at second with Jose Lopez, but their DHs had the worst on-base/slugging percentage in the American League last season.
Sounds like speculation, but it is an awful enough idea that this club could try it.

Please tell me how he is an upgrade at DH than Snelling himself?

Anyone? Is it for health reasons? Vidro missed 30+ games last year. Is it Snelling's lack of proof? He can take a walk, Vidro doesn't.

Stats last year for Vidro:

52R 134H 262B 13B 7HR 47RBI 41BB 48K 1SB .289AVG .348OBP .395SP .743OPS

Yeah, thats a clear upgrade over Snelling.

Whats worse is, Bloomquist will head back out as our 4th OF.

I think even opening day tickets are going to be easy to get for 2007.

No joke. I went from buying full season tickets to half-season/weekend package with Bavasi and Hargrove coming. After no effort to getting anything done, I skipped a 16 game package and went right for game-by-game. It'll be way cheaper.

Crap, we're not done yet. This means Broussard is very likely to go next. Any guesses what we get for him?

How about Bip Roberts?

So we trade Snelling and Soriano for pointless players or crap, we gain more crap...and we resign Bloomquist...not to mention keeping our FO in tact along with the worst manager I have ever seen in SPORTS (and ive seen alot of them being I watched every major sport known to man).

Now this begs the question...is this the WORST OVERALL offseason in Mariners history? Some of you have been around longer than I have.

Whats worse is that almost every post since I came over to this site has been negative. I feel bad about it, but what do we have to be happy about?

Now that made me laugh. Most people in baseball do know that Bowden is an idiot and even he is taking advantage of the Mariners sinking ship.

I've moved past the game-by-game and I'm buying them off ebay.

If I didn't live on the other side of the state I'd be tempted to buy them outside the stadium.

Definetly, no reason to give them the money from my pocket when I can get it for cheap outside that stadium or on ebay.

I really wish a team like the D-Backs had as awesome of an online community as we do for the Mariners.

Seriously, that's the only thing thats keeping me to this team at the moment.

I can't believe the Mariners management would want Vidro. Unbelievable.

The trade was agreed upon between the two clubs late last week during the Winter Meetings, but both sides needed Vidro's approval because he has a no-trade clause. For approving the trade, according to sources, Vidro was given a vesting option for 2009.

Its official. I want this team to lose every single game next year. Just to rid of this selfish FO. We'll lose Ichiro. We'll lose entertainment. But this is for Seattle. For the franchise. For the fans. For me.

Check out my new hat:

I'm still and will always be a fan of the Seattle Mariners. That cannot and will not ever change.I'll still be just as active in the Mariner online community as I ever have been. I've met and gotten to know too many good people not too.

But it's time for my crazy passion for this game to be divided into two sections. I already ripped the big Mariner sticker off the back window of my Explorer, and I think I'm going to burn my old Mariner hats that are sitting in a box in my closet.

I'm still going to go to at least 4-5 Rainer games this year. My interest in the farm system will not waiver.

It's time for the big league club to take a back seat. At least for the 2007 season. If/when Bavasi,Hargrove, Lincoln, etc. get the pink slip and team starts showing they have the slightest bit of competence, then maybe they will reassert themselves and the M's hat will take over again.

Besides, the new colors of the D-Backs logo looks pretty cool don't yeah think?

This just gets more and more depressing, watching our team implode over the offseason from Hell. I refuse to spend money supporting these imbeciles.

Vocabulary lesson:
