Now, hire someone that knows what he or she is doing.
The good thing is, whoever is hired, shouldn't be any worse. My vote: Kim Ng Los Angeles Dodgers Executives Bold move, but I think we need that.

They have said that not a single leaf will go unturned and that not a single player is untouchable.

Beltre was a good move. The Ichiro extension was a good move.
Yep, that's about it.

The all timer for me was the Asdrubal trade.
Now I know AsCab has struggled this season and he is back in Buffalo but how in the hell do you justify trading a 19 year old who is already playing AAA for Eduardo Perez??? Thank goodness that Bill isn't going to be the one selling off our assets at the trade deadline. Like I have said so may times before, I sure wish the Mariners would have gone about rebuilding the right way in the first place. Now we are back at square one. |

I still wonder how many of Bavasi's mistakes were his own, or at the fault of those above him.

Well we all know Carlos Guillen wasn't his so I've never blamed him for that one.
Who knows about the rest. Everytime I look at Washburn I just want to puke. I am thrilled that he is finally gone. Hopefully a new GM will demand that he be able to build the team the proper way. I can't think of anything that the Mariners have done right in this decade and we can also give a "thanks" to Gillick for that. |

Wow, a whole decade?
How did they screw up building 2000 and 2001?

LOL. Yeah I guess those were pretty decent years. What I am talking about is how it was clear that the team was on the decline as early as 2002 and especially in 2003. The team limped home to 93 wins. We all should have seen 2004 coming.
The decisions that were made on how to fix things were nothing more than atrocious. |
