I missed day one. The dang primary has become a sporting event for me. Rather pathetic yes, but still if I'm going to root for a team, it might as well be one that might change the quality of my life.
So yesterday was a win. Mariners now 11-10 against the Orioles 11-9 Its a payback series Tonight Carlos Silva takes his high contact arm to the mound. This one might be trouble as Markakis, Payton and Roberts all rock Silva, though the rest of the team blows. Still those three are the heart of the order and so there are likely to be some runs on the board. As a team the Os are .751 against Silva Daniel Cabrera is the opposition. The Mariners as a whole hit .777 off of him. Ichiro in 30 PA has a 1.022 OPS, Ibanez comes in over 1.200. Wilkerson hits well, but he's kind of injured and so instead we get Wee Willie with his .500 ops. All in all this game should involve many runs. The best news of all though is that mr Putz is back and he's right where he was. At least if one game tells you anything.

A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |
