Come now, Jose Vidro is a poor man's Ichiro. He can't be done.
His high groundball rate, slappy style combined with absolutely no speed means that he was actually done last year. All he had then was a batting average, fully empty. And remember he's only here for his bat He has a vesting option for 2009, supposedly it vests at 400 or 450 ABs.

I'm sorry I left for a while. I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement. |

Wild. He was unappealing last season, but ended up serviceable -- in a way. Most predictions are looking a falloff from that? Right?
He's one of those whycouldntwehavehadhimsix/sevenyearsago players. In today's game, I was actually thinking... why not pinch hit for our DH? |
