Well I'll say one thing for Bavasi. He managed to completely unite everybody in the Mariners blogosphere. 99.9% of the entire Mariner internet community agrees this is a horrible trade.

With questions with the starting pitching, the one thing we had going for us was a lights out bullpen.

Soriano was a bad man, and the thought of him leaving us for a guy that is going to wash out is really aggrevating.

well I guess the good news is I live close to Atlanta now and Seattle is doing a damn good job of stocking them up for little charge. Might have to find a Braves jersey to wear while my M's one hides in shame.

Does it get any worse?

YES IT DOES...a quote from Bavasi after the meetings ended:

“We’d like to add one more pitcher, and one more bat,” Bavasi said. “If it’s a right-handed bat, we could platoon him with Ben Broussard at DH, and if we can upgrade with a left-handed bat, we’d do that.”

Why is this bad? Ibanez, Ichiro, Guillen in the OF. Broussard and get this---Cliff Floyd at DH...anyone notice a name missing? WTF Is WRONG WITH THESE GUYS?!?!?

Yes, we are severely interested in Cliff Floyd.

AND GET THIS:

Another paper reported that the M's are also gonna look for a righty for our pen after losing Soriano. Maybe thats why we got White, but still...why trade him then?

Just know guys, the whole Mariner World is hurting, we're not the only ones. Im gonna love Ichiro's comments after the season when he explains why he wants nothing to do with our franchse. MANNNNNNNNNNN if improve this year, which is possible...they might keep their jobs! UGH

Thank God for the Seahawks.

I think the only person in America who has had a worse year than Bill Bavasi is Donald Rumsfeld. All the adjectives used to describe the deteriorating situation in Iraq are fully applicable to the Mariners.

Default Soriano

I know its beating a dead horse, but with Lowe on the shelf until midseason, how did Soriano become expendable so quickly?

If you have to move him, it just seems we could have gotten so much more...
