For the Rockets this puts them in the elite of the Western Conference.

PG - Steve Francis
SG - Tracy McGrady
SF - Shane Battier
PF - Luis Scola
C - Yao Ming

Bench:

PG: Aaron Brooks, Rafer Alston
SG: Bonzi Wells, Mike James, Luther Head, Kirk Snyder
SF: Steve Novak, Carl Landry
PF: Chuck Hayes
C: Dikembe Mutombo

That's a lot of guards so I say they are going to trade Alston.

Expect the Rockets to be an offensive juggernaut under Rick Adelman. I don't know if they can win the whole damn thing, but Western Conference Finals seems likely IMHO.

What the Rockets need to do:

Ron Artest and Kenny Thomas to Houston for Shane Battier, Rafer Alston, Luther Head and Bob Sura.

If the Kings substitute Shareef Abdur-Rahim over Kenny Thomas, the Rockets don't have to include Bob Sura's contract.

Artest would work in Houston IMO.. he is good friends with Bonzi and Slick Rick coached him in Sacto.

I'd love to see Rafer Alston come to Cleveland... we desperately need a point gaurd.

I would expect to see Rafer and Lucas shipped out before the season starts
