He's been rumored to go to the Knicks for Crawford and Robinson about a week ago. I'm glad that one died as neither Crawford or Robinson meet the needs of the Sonics of a ball distributing point guard.
Latest rumor is that Lewis would go back to his hometown for Shane Battier and the #26 Rockets eye Lewis for Battier | TheNewsTribune.com | Tacoma, WA If the Sonics can get Acie Law somehow at that point I might be interested. Law is projected in the high teens and low 20s though, so it might be tough. Law, Allen, Durant, Wilcox, Collison with Battier as the bench forward, Swift as the back up big and which ever of Ridnour/Watson they have left as the bench guard I would feel darn good about the future of the team on the court. Don't know if I'll ever be confident about the team's actual future.

Would it really be better to lose the player for nothing?

I don't have a link or anything to confirm this but the local papers have been saying that Mavs would be interested.
Personally I don't think they should because it would take away from Josh Howard. Plus he doesn't really impress me that much. |

I dont know who the Mavs have that would interest the Sonics outside of Dirk ( not gonna happen ) and Josh Howard, which I dont think the Mavs would do....

Yes, one of Watson/Ridnour will be gone.

Watson is the kind of player that I believe Avery Johnson wants in Dallas. Terry can be an exciting player however he needs the ball in his hands to be effective. Devin Harris needs the opportunity to show that he can run the point (as a starter) in Dallas. He also needs the ball in his hands to be effective so it's reasonable to think that Terry will be on his way out. Watson would a pretty good backup to Harris in Dallas.
I don't want to turn this in to a Dallas topic so as for Rashard ... I think the best place for him would be Houston (for obvious reasons). Although Minnesota would be an interesting place for him. He and Garnett would be a fun forward combo to watch. |
