Default Garnett for Nowitzki?

Quote:
Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki soon will be named the league's MVP, but the general sentiment in Dallas is he has to go.

Would the Minnesota Timberwolves now swap Kevin Garnett for Nowitzki? That would give Dallas the tough guy they feel they need after shriveling up for Golden State, and it would give the Timberwolves a star and a good guy.

What do all of you think about this possible deal?

I think it would be a breath of fresh air for both team, especially the T-Wolves. Both teams are considering moving these guys and I think this seems like a pretty fair deal. The Mavs would get KG, who could elevate them to the next level. Dirk's shooting was horrible in the Golden State series....This would definetly be a mega trade.

Trade makes perfect sense for Dallas but I dont see why the Wolves would do it. They have no inside presence as it is so why would they trade for a soft 6-11 PF ?

This is the type of trade that is fun to talk about and it could get done in fantasy world but has no shot of happening in the real world.

That would be a horrible trade for Dallas. They would effectively weaken there team in every area. I think that would be a panic move, and just UGH

How would that weaken them ?

KG boards, blocks and plays better D than Dirk.

Only thing Dirk does better is hit the outside shot and Dallas doesnt need that they have enough people that can hit a 3. The reason they lost to GS was because they had no1 that could go inside and punish the Warriors weak frontcourt.

Dallas NEEDS an inside force and KG is that, Dirk isnt

KG can't lead a team to anything, He's not as talented as Dirk offensively and I don't think he could put up the same numbers Dirk does in Dallas's system. KG ias exceedingly selfish and he won't kick the ball out to Dallas's spot shooters. Like I said Dallas would lose out big time on this deal
