Default Sixers continue to deal

Ok, well based on some reports, it looks like the Sixers want to rebuild now and stand to put Andre Miller and Chris Webber on the block. Based on that here are 2 ideas.

1. It looks like Miller is on the block and I think one team that could benefit is the Lakers who I think come playoff time would love to have an intelligent hard nosed PG to handle the ball come playoff time. With that being said, i'll offer this idea.

To Los Angeles
-Andre Miller
-2009 2nd round pick

To Philadelphia
-Smush Parker
-Chris Mihm
-Aaron McKie
-2007 1st round pick

Why?
-Philly gets 3 expiring contracts which include a short term replacement for Miller in Smush Parker. In getting a 4th 2007 1st round pick it allows them flexibility to use 1 of the 4 to try and shed more salary........

Miller/Farmer/Williams*
Bryant/Evans/Vujacic
Walton*/Radmanovic
Odom/Cook/Turiaf
Brown/Bynum

It has been 'reported' that Orlando wants a 2007 1st round pick as it dealt its own to Det as part of the Darko trade. Now, ultimately, I think the Magic need another PF up front to help Dwight Howard and really, they should make a strong push to ensure a top 4 seed position in the east this year. With that being said, I'll offer this idea.

To Philly
-Grant Hill

To Orlando
-Chris Webber
-2007 1st round pick from via Los Angeles
-2007 2nd round pick via Chicago

Now I understand Webber salary, but the reality of it is, its aligned his contract with several other veteran contract on the Magic as well as expiry at the same time as Howard and Nelson are due for extensions. Picking up 2 picks this draft, and I think Orlando considers it in order to make a push in the east without really jeopardizing its cap situation.

The deal could be contigent on Hill being waived by the Sixers to sign elsewhere with a contender

Nelson/Arroyo/Diener*
Bogans/Dooling/Reddick
Ariza/Turkoglu/Garrity*
Webber/Milcic*/Outlaw*
Howard/Battie

Philly now looks like....

Parker*/Ollie/Williams*
Iguodala/Green/McKie(waive)
Hill*/Korver/Carney
Smith*/Henderson*/Randolph(IR)
Dalembert/Hunter/Mihm*(IR)

It gives Philly heading into 2007-08

?/Ollie/?
Iguodala/Green
Korver/Carney
?/Randolph
Dalembert/Hunter

...along with 3 first round picks as well as substantial room under the cap.

Thoughts?

I think Lakers want Dre, but @ that price I dont see them pulling the trigger.

As a Knicks fan I would give up anything but Lee for Dre. He is EXACTLY what we need. I would give up Frye for him in a heartbeat.

Onto the other trade, Doesnt make sense for the Magic they akready have Dwight and Darko along with Battie and they love Darko so by adding CWebb it would only take time away from him.

On the rumor front, I just heard on WFAN that the Kings and Clippers are discussing a swap of Artest for Maggette ????

Are the Kings THAT unhappy with Artests attitude that they would take only Mags for him.......Would be stupid, IMO
