With the Heat continuing to struggle without Shaq, I think they need should consider a move to keep up in the EC. I mean the argument there is the EC is very weak but the Heat need to make a small change relatively soon, or right after the All-Star Break.
To Miami -Jamal Magloire -Juan Dixon To Portland -James Posey -Michael Doleac -2008 2nd round pick Why? -The Heat need a starting centre and with the aging Mourning, I think its necessary to bring in Magloire even if its for the remainder of the year. With the emergence of Dorrell Wright, I think it makes Posey expendable and Doleac has been on and off the block for sometime. I think the key here is Dixon who is in a crowded young backcourt but can provided strong minutes ona contender off the bench. The Blazers get the starting SF they need as Posey is a decent defender and slasher capable of starting. Doleac has a PO at the end of this year so it gives the Blazers some flexibility at the 5 spot. Williams/Payton*/ Wade/Dixon/Kapono* Walker/Wright Haslem/Simien Magloire*/Mourning/Barron/O'Neal(IR) Jack/Dickau/Rodriguez Roy/Webster Posey*/Outlaw*/Udoka*/Miles(IR) Randolph/Aldridge Przybilla/LaFrentz/Doleac* |

why do Portland want Doleac and Possey? they must get youth in return in Magloire's trade! both Miami and Portland contracts expire in 1 or 2 seasons! trade must include Miami's 2007 pick to Portland!
I prefer Magloire to Raptors for A.Williams's contract, D.Martin, Tucker and 2007 pick. Raptors upgrade center position and Portland get a nice pick (among 10 and 15) and expiring contracts. |
