Shawn Marion has not tried to hide the fact the he is very upset with the Suns for not extending him a new contract offer or even being willing to talk about a new contract. So with the news coming out earlier this week that Marion has stated he wants to be traded the lists of teams have already piled up that would like to have Marion's services next year.
A couple of rumors that were making the rounds are : Lamar Odom and Brian Cook/Bynum/Brown + picks for Marion AK47 for Marion with other players involved Jason Williams, Dorrell Wright, Haslem for Marion There are rumors of other teams as well but the Lakers, Jazz and Heat seem to be the top 3 contenders for Marion. Could be a big blow to Suns if they lose him but if 1 of these deals go through it could shift the power balance in the division he lands in. Any thoughts about Marion would fit best ? IMO the Jazz would be a perfect spot for him, they need someone that can score from the outside and Marion to AK would not be as big a downgrade on D if AK was dealt for anyone else.

The Sun's organization is saying a trade is unlikely and he'll show up for practice on Monday.
There's an interesting recommendation for the book Seven Seconds or Less, a reporters season with the Suns, in the following blog comments: » Blog Archive » Noooo!!! Sean Marion is talking trade!- Phoenix Entertainment Directory |

This is the writer from SI, right ?
I heard him on Mike and the mad Dog discussing his book. He told alot of really good stories about his time out there and following them. Yea, I know the Suns are trying to put a good face on this, but this is the 2nd year ina row of Marion making trade noise, i think it finally comes to end this offseason and he gets shipped off.

I couldn't see the Jazz dealing for Marion, he seems like someone who is more of a me guy that wouldn't fit into the Sloan system.

I dont really think he is a me guy as much as he feels he deserves a new contract for being 1 of the top 10 all around players in the NBA over the past 2-3 years. Cant really blame him for that.
Give him his extension and I think he would be just fine. He was the 3rd option on the Suns last year behind Nash and Amare and you didnt hear a peep outta him complaining about touches.
