From everything I've seen, it is down to San Jose and Nashville (front-runners). But, the longer it drags out, I hear that Vancouver and Montreal could resurface and staying in Philly is a strong possibility.

What makes me curious is how willing Peter is to stay in the US. Even with multiple suitors, will he be willing to commit to his team or go back to Sweden (or just flat out retire)?
It's a huge risk for anyone interested in him. Not just the injury problems, but his heart. |

exactly, so this may be an extreme situation of rent-a-player. It's very difficult to justify throwing much at the Flyers for Peter. He's a great player but history shows personal circumstances will dictate his course. If a team gives up a high draft pick and player for him (or just the high pick ) for 3 months of service or less, it may be extremely detrimental toa franchises future...

Yeah, but Roloson doesn't have all the Forsberg issues. The constant injuries, retirement looming, going back to Sweden...etc. And yeah, you're right, he can turn a team into an instant contender IF he can stay healthy. The game after he's signed, that groin go go, the ankle, or something else and he could be gone for the season. It's just such a huge risk with him.
He's not worth a first, IMO. Roloson had a lot less mileage on him that Foppa does. That alone makes him more worth the 1st. |

I'll give you that Forsberg is definitely riskier. But I still doubt that only a first round pick would do it. I would be asking for a top prospect who would be ready to play next year, at minimum, maybe a pick on top of that.
P.S. What's 'Foppa' mean? |

Philly is rebuilding now, or they should be. They should take what they can get if they are certain about trading Peter at all. That may amount to just a 3rd rounder with thanks to the cap hit and long term risk on the investment in Forsberg. |

Re: Foppa Don't know. No one knows. Not even he knows. Just some nickname his hometown gave him. |
