For every rumor there are plusses and minuses. We have to give up certain players to bring back others. So far, there have been rumors or at least musings that the Blazers are targeting Rad Man, Jefferson, Robert Swift, Gasol and that we have also been talking to Chicago. What do you hope the Blazers do in the next few days.
Personally I kindof hope the Blazers don't do anything. I like the direction the blazers are moving and although I would not mind seeing Dixon or Magloire traded, I don't want any of the young ones to be added into that mix. |

I have to agree with you as an outsider I like the direction you guys have been going in. Once you ship off Maglorie hopefully LaMarcus will see more PT as well.
As for the players you mentioned : Rad - is now out 8 weeks, so he wont be going anywhere Jefferson - I assume you mean AL, and I just dont see Ainge dealing him at all. He said he wouldnt part with him for Gasol so I find it hard to believe he is going anywhere Swift : He was starting to show signs of developing into a solid NBA C, but I had read rumors that the Sonics have no intent of moving him Gasol : The man everyone wants, depending on the package I would seriously considering getting Gasol

I hope the rumor that the Grizzlies want to shed payroll is true.
So then maybe Paxson can get Gasol without giving up Deng or Gordon. But it seems like Paxson may use Portland to get leverage. Maybe the Grizz's price will drop if West thinks Pax may deal for Randolph. |
