Default Would 'Blazers fans care if the Sonics moved?

Is there a prevailing feeling amongst 'Blazers fans concerning the future of the Sonics? Would the I-5 rivalry be missed?

Not really. It would kind of end a fairly good rivalry, but as long as were still in Portland I'm happy.

I don't see BC or Vancouver getting another team... Not after the crash and burn failure of the Grizzlies in those parts.

It'd be ironic if, with all the hype and talk, the Sonics were bound for Vegas.

both recent team moves turned out to be a case of the grass isn't greener. Sure, New Orleans got hit with Katrina, but they weren't exactly doing great before that. Memphis was a poor choice from the get-go.

This would be terrible for Blazer fans. This is one of the best rivalries in the NBA and it would stink to loose them.

Althought I would be sad to see them go, my first instict would be to think that they Blazers would be moving to Seattle.

If anything, I'd be paranoid for the sake of our own franchise if that happened.

I would be sad if the Sonics left as I would miss the rivalry.
However, as I live in Olympia, my hope is that maybe we would start getting Blazer games on FSN.....and that would be awesome!!!

I totally agree but I think that the paranoia would be wide spread. Since Paul Allen is from Seattle. I think that people on the East coast would think that of it as a foregone conclusion that the Blazers would be moving to Seattle. That kind of "unsettlement" (Can't think of a good word to put there) would not be good for the fanbase, the players or the chance of ever getting anybody in Free Agency.
I think that it would be in the best interest of Portland for the Sonics to stay in Seattle.
