Default Nady to DL?

Quote:
Although early reports about Xavier Nady's strained left hamstring were optimistic, the injury took a turn for the worse by yesterday afternoon. "He was a little sore today and had a little less strength than (after the first exam)," manager Jim Tracy said. Nady was injured while running out a grounder in the sixth inning Saturday night. He will be re-examined today in Pittsburgh and likely would go on the disabled list if there is no improvement.

With Nady out of the lineup yesterday, outfielder Nate McLouth made his first start of the season, and went 1 for 3 with one RBI. In 11 games off the bench, McLouth has gone 5 for 12 with one RBI.

Nate McLouth and Brad Eldred appear to be the fill-ins in RF until Nady recovers.
