Default Pirates to trade Mike Gonzalez?

Quote:
NEW YORK -- The Yankees are discussing trading young outfielder Melky Cabrera in a deal that would bring Pittsburgh reliever Mike Gonzalez to the Bronx.

The Yankees have talked about a three-team trade in the past week that also would involve Atlanta and first baseman Adam LaRoche, who would go to Pittsburgh in exchange for Cabrera, a baseball official with knowledge of the talks said Saturday, speaking on condition of anonymity because discussions were ongoing.
Yanks discussing deals involving Melky

Pirates fans, who would you rather have: Mike Gonzalez, Melky Cabrera, or Adam LaRoche?

The Yankees ar ecrazy if they part with The Melkman. Melky amy not play a whole lot this year, but he has proven he cna do the job and Abreu is a free agent after 2007.

I' revisit the idea of Kevin Thompson (who has some pop) for Damaso Marte if I were Cashman.
