2000: Mark McGwire hits three home runs and drives in seven as the Cards beat the Phils at the Vet. It's McGwire's second three-homer game while visiting the Phillies (the other was on May 19, 1998). He started the day tied with Mickey Mantle with 536 career home runs.
2005: With a home run in the 6th inning, Bobby Abreu extends his team records streak of consecutive games with an extra-base hit to 11. Only three players had longer streaks in the majors -- none since the 1920s.
