Brooklyn wins game one 20-16, but the Phils take the night-cap 8-6. Chuck Klein gets a home run in both games. 1964: Jim Bunning 1-hit the Astros in a 4-0 victory at Houston 2000: Mark McGwire hits three home runs and drives in seven as the Cards beat the Phils at the Vet. It's McGwire's second three-homer game while visiting the Phillies (the other was on May 19, 1998). He started the day tied with Mickey Mantle with 536 career home runs. 2005: With a home run in the 6th inning, Bobby Abreu extends his team records streak of consecutive games with an extra-base hit to 11.
