Hey guys I am gonna start doing this everyday. I found a really cool link, but I'll post the article here.

Today in Phillies History by Broad and Pattison

Today in Phillies History for March 28thIt Happened Today in:
1916: The Phillies completed a sweep of their 7-game exhibition series with the Cubs with a 3-1 victory in St. Petersburg.
1918: Miami merchants declare a half-holiday, closing their stores for the afternoon to allow their employees to attend the opening spring game between the Phillies and Braves.

Phillies Transactions on This Day:
1954: Traded Dick Young and $50,000 to Brooklyn for Bobby Morgan
1979: Traded Dan Boitano to Milwaukee for Gary Beare
1982: Traded Steve Dunnegan to Houston for Dave Roberts

2000: Purchased Mickey Morandini from Montreal
2002: Traded Reggie Taylor to Cincinnati for a player to be named.

Happy Birthday:

Shawn Boskie is 40 years old. I remember him when he pitched with us in the mid 1990's.

I am not sure. 1982 is the year I was born, so I wasn't quite old enough to watch the game then.

Boy Taylor turned out to be a stiff. I hate to say it by Greg Golson is going right down the same road.
