Default Veteran Stadium Memories

Hey guys, it's been a little over 3 years since the Vet was imploded. (March 21st, 2004) to be exact, and If you have any memories from the Old Vet, feel free to share them.

My favorite memory was unfortantely the last home opener against the Pirates. Joe Roa started that game, and the Phillies lost 13-2. Jim Thome hit a triple in his home Phillies debut.

I also was there in the middle of the streak in 1991, when they won 13 games in a row at home.

Members from other boards, if you've been to the Vet before, share your memories.

Bon Jovi still holds a piece of Philadelphia as he is the owner of the Soul. Hey fire: how many people could pack into the vet for a concert?

I was never able to get to a concert down at the Vet. The Vet held 67,000 for a baseball game, I imagine it could probably hold more than that for a concert, probably 75,000 ish maybe.

My parents went to the 1st concert at the Linc. CBP must be a great place to have a concert with the city skyline in the background.

the stage was in centerfield and the seats on the field stopped at the infield line that seperates the infield from the outfield. it was great
