Myers as a closer update - Page 2

The problem is that Myers is the center piece of the rotation. If you take him out of the rotation, then this is an awful rotation. Your putting way too much on Hamels and you can't depend on Eaton or Moyer. And let's no bring up Lieber as a potential replacement. I would go closer by comittee before I took Myers out of the rotation...

I think Garcia is the center piece to the rotation. If Myers gets taken out this rotation, the rotation is weaker, but I still don't think it's that bad.

i agree the problem is w/o myers in the rotation we would be leaning alot harder on moyer and eaton.

Yeah I agree. I would much rather have Moyer as our #4 guy, winning 10-12 games, rather than actually counting on him to pitch very well every night.

Wow fire, are you assuming Eaton's gonna get hurt? 6 to 8 wins seems pretty easy to get, even if his Era is over 5.

I don't see how Garcia is anywhere near the key to the rotation. Garcia is deep after Myers and Hamel. But anyways I agree that Eaton won'tbe good this year. I didn't like the signing at all.

He hasn't had shoulder problems, it's been mostly finger issues with him, sorta like Josh Beckett.

They signed Eaton just incase they couldn't acquire anybody else in a trade, but they did anyway, better be safe than sorry.
