Antonio Alfonseca, Phillies agree to terms

Alfonseca was out of the league for the final 3 1/2 months of last year after being let go by the Rangers. He'd be a strong candidate to win a spot in Philadelphia's bullpen.

Thank you very much for posting it, He's ok, I mean if he comes out and has a bad spring he'll be let go. This is a good signing considering the lack of depth we have in the bullpen right now.

Isn't he the six fingered man?

I like this as an option. Very Gillick. Hopefully Pat has learned to cut bait on bad moves though.

Yeah I think he has 6 fingers. If Alfonseca is our 11th or 12th pitcher, I'd be happy. I hope we do not have to rely on him though.

very good point bettman. Rhodes was awful.
