Phillies first baseman Ryan Howard reportedly has dismissed his agent, Larry Reynolds.

The Phillies said Howard, the 2006 National League MVP, is looking for a new agent and has not yet informed the team who will represent him, the Philadelphia Daily News reported for Saturday editions.

[Asst. GM Ruben Amaro Jr.] said the team has not yet decided how much of a raise to give Howard, top starting pitcher Brett Myers or second baseman Chase Utley. "We've got some ideas that we've kicked around internally," Amaro said.

Myers, Utley, relievers Geoff Geary and Ryan Madson and center fielder Aaron Rowand are all eligible to file for arbitration next month.

I'm praying he stays away from Scott Boras.

FOXSports.com - MLB - Howard reportedly signs with Leon Rose

Howard either has chosen or is strongly considering Leon Rose, the agent for NBA superstars LeBron James and Allen Iverson, major-league sources tell FOXSports.com

Rose is an attorney based in Pennsauken, N.J., outside of Philadelphia. Howard, the reigning National League MVP, would be his first baseball client.

A prominent baseball agent said that Howard has chosen Rose. A major-league executive said he has heard the same buzz, but that it was not confirmed.

I don't know much about this guy, but I fail to see him being any worse than Boras.

no baseball experience not sure if that matters or not

I would assume probably a little bit, I just hope Rose doesn't get into the Hype with "the max" in baseball because it won't work here.
