Knuble with a nice goal against the Predators tonight!
Forsberg fed him the puck (undressing the Preds' defenseman) and Knuble slammed it home... I think Stevens is doing a great job since Hitch got fired... Let's go Flyers! Now that the Preds don't play you for a few years, I can root for ya again! |

Very solid move by the organ-I-zation. I am very suprised to see this, also.
It's obvious they won't be doing a full on rebuilding, and have a firesale at the deadline. Knuble is a heck of a player. People say his linemates make him, I disagree. Yes, he is a complimentary player, but a great one. Hard worker, big and strong, crashes the net, responsible two-way player. He is also a valuable vet leader in the locker room. I have no doubts he would have gotten AT LEAST 3 million on the open market, probably upwards of 3.5 million. Very good move, and nice to have something positive. I also wonder if this will help in getting Forsberg to come back. With Gagne and Knuble now locked up for 4 and 2 years after this one, it could play a role. |
