Default Alfie's slapshot in Game 4

Cheapshot?

Or just an overblown reaction by the Ducks?

I vote for the former.

If Alfie was taking a blast toward JSG, and it hit somebody, that's one thing. But he was nowhere near JSG, and not in the line of fire. Alfie took his time, lined it up, and took a slap deliberately at his rival.

Cheapshot.

This is the kind of brainfart Alfie makes that draws the ire of his rivals.

In this case, it MAY be the what seals the cup for the Ducks. They get a five-on-three early on in the third, but the Ducks kill it off.

Then Penner takes the lead with a goal.

Did Alfie just end up firing up the Ducks?

In any case, a very classless move, IMO, and not his first classless move. Shame, Alfie. Shame. For all the talent you obviously have, you shouldn't be pulling that crap.

Especially when you're trying to get back into the finals.

... and the Penner goal becomes the game winner, and a stranglehold on the Sens cup dreams.

Well done, Alfie.

I think he was frustrated. It wasn't the right attitude for him to do that. Aflie is the leader of this team, he will lead to victory, you'll see.

He's just led them to the golf course. Frustration is no excuse.

Domi was frustrated when he elbowed Neids, too. No excuse.

Actually both teams will be heading to the golf course after this series.

Bad move, Alfie.

Though, I must say, great job scoring a goal to bring the Sens within a tying goal - twice this last game. Once shorthanded, even.

This is why it annoys me so to see Alfie pull a punk move like this.

The guy's a great talent. He should concentrate on answering with more goals, rather than trying to injure a player with a slapshot.

I maintain that the Sens had a chance until that punk move. For shame, Alfie.

But cheers to the Sens for getting as far as they did. Obviously a very talented team, that worked hard to get there. And they could be back very soon for the same reasons.

So my hat's off to them.

Alfie, learn to lead without the punk moves, buddy! :thumbsup

It is rare for Alf to do that. Maybe he was frustrated at Neids for some reasons as he is the Ducks captain. Whatever the reasons, it's all over, not even Neids is complaining about it. He has led without the punk move, and will continue to lead without the so called punk move. Every player has been frustrated one or two times before, even Neids I bet.

Likely so. Even Pronger. But that's not an excuse at all.

When that frustration crosses into intent to injure, as it did here, that's when it's not good.

I agree with you, it is no good and was wrong for Alf to do that. I don't know what the intent actually was, I just know it was wrong, and I am sure Alf knows that as well, hopefully he won't do that again.
