I dunno, ak4na2, but these Sunday afternoon walk-off wins by the A's this season are magical. Yesterday was every bit the match of the Scutaro game-winner off of M. Rivera and the Yanks. When Chavez worked that 0-2 count to hit the single on 3-2 was the beginning of the best thing to happen for the A's since, well, since Scutaro did that. This is only May and we have about 4 1/2 more months of this in front of us. So far, my choices in buying tickets on Fan Appreciation Day for individual games has panned out. Next Sunday is my next game and I wonder what magic these A's have in store for that game?
I would have to go back to Moneyball to see who Michael Lewis mentioned as far as Beane's obsessions, but maybe Jeremy Brown's time has come? So many folks are down on Kendall for his weak bat that it would seem only logical that the next hole Beane tried to fill would be that offensive hole at the catcher position. Of course Kendall has had slow starts before and he has always managed to finish around .300, so I guess we owe him some grace time to prove himself once again. What are we going to do when everyone else gets healthy? That goes for the pitchers that have filled in admirably in Loaiza and Harden's absence as well. This should be a good week also, with 4 against KC here and then the Gigantes in from across the water for 3. Zito vs Cust, that should be fun.
