So to recap, yes the Anaheims are down with injuries to both pitchers and hitters, we can't hold back. Nice job against two good pitchers, first Weaver last night and today against The Lackey. We are starting to get it together hitting-wise, and to do it against them is great! Stewart had two hits today and one last night, three different guys had two hits apiece today. No glaring errors or lapses in the field. Scooter came through "in the clutch," again to keep the big inning alive. Chavvy had a nice 2-out RBI hit to keep it going. Unfortunately, it looks like Piazza and Swish have hit a down spot. Here's hoping they can get even more loose at the plate in the warmer weather in Texas, and let's all hope the eastern seaboard has seen the last vestiges of winter when they hit Baltimore.
Apparently part of Haren's high pitch count today was a slew of fouled off pitches. That and some other minor glitches in the system makes Gameday an adventure to follow a game by. And the delays in getting the details after the pitch by pitch displays run(s) scored with no detail posted. Those moments are excruciating when eager to see what happened. Go A's! ![]() Eck, I uttered the exact same words (well, not to Greenie directly) about Fanhome on Scout in a thread made by Oaklady when she brought up the superior layout/features of the new Fahome board ( That was before I was a mod here, but for future reference I plan to be more easy-going around here. We're not afraid of a little competition; this is basically a site set up for people to talk about sports...not make money and the effects there within. |

good game.. =)
buck has 2 rbi's but the biggest thing that is getting him noticed by a lot of a's fans is the 5 extra base hits.. which sadly is 3rd on the a's.. but they havent been any cheapies.. as he roped those balls.. didnt know they had a day game.. couldnt concentrate on work because i was wondering how i was going to juggle the a's warriors and sharks all at once.. ahh.. hopefully it wont be a stressful night.. =D |

Wouldn't you know, Gameday had Buck with 0 homers, 0 RBI. They were flakey all through the game, I guess there is some human trying to input that data as fast as possible and no one is perfect. I tried this gamethread thing as I had the window at work, but still had interruptions and it was tough sometimes to keep up and then excruciating when I knew I was running out of time to input and the site wouldn't give the details. You would think they would check or update a player's offensive stats before showing them on the site during a game though. I noticed far too many A's w/no RBI though and those weren't all site errors, but we all know that. As you can see Nat, I followed it on Gameday linked at the A's site. Later, RDB |
