It didn't take long for Ellison to take the field. Defensive replacement for the wrong guy though. Probably due to the turned ankle last night.

I would like to thank the Athletics fans for stopping by for today's game. It won't be too long before we visit you guys. A short while from now we will copy the thread over to the non-hosting forum so that post-game commentary can be a pick and choose situation. If anyone on either forum has suggestions on how this can work better, or if you don't think it does, please let Nat, Goose, Chris or myself know.
Our goal is all the same, get the most Intelligent, Diverse and Respectful sports talk on the internet. We all see FanHome as a broader community than just a single team forum. Thank you everyone.

Felix is the third pitcher in the last 25 years to get 12 K's on opening day.
The others? Former Mariner Ace Randy Johnson and Pedro Martinez.

definitely keep the link to the game day thread on both forums. the way it was done on the Oakland forum for this thread.
For post-game commentary it may just end up in new threads on the individual boards eg specific topics of discussion. |
