Even if I have to singlehandedly post all the topics here, I'm not going to go to Scout anymore. The freaking forums there are down AGAIN, the forum software they are using absolutely blows, and they still haven't gotten all the post counts correct.

That was after an "upgrade". LOL.

I've had no problems logging into scout.

Of course, both boards have been slow since the spilt. I'm hoping at least one of them picks up now that spring training is here

Scout still has the better posters and the more active board. If I want to get news, I have to check the Scout board first.

I started here at Fanhome, so I'm willing to keep hanging in, but so far this isn't much of a forum.

There's one sure-fire way to get conversation going and that's to start an interesting topic. It seems to me like there are plenty of people reading this board but the "topic starters" may still over at Scout. If more of you will take on some initiative to start topics, I think this place can move far beyond Scout in no time at all..

So I commend those who have been active starting topics and would challenge people like Eck who want to see "more discussion" to feel free to start some themselves.

First, last year sometime all the Scout boards suddenly did not recognize my username/password and I just decided not to re-up at that time. Spent too much time on the boards anyway.

Then with the "new" BETA format I was unable to even access the Scout boards at home at all. Then Oaklady said this board was now up and running independently again. As Borat would say "I like," "very niiiiiiice."

My work has recently blocked both websites so I cannot access them, which is where I did the bulk of my posting! I agree - I prefer this format and I was at fanhome before so I will hang around but the other site is busier. Hopefully as more and more people make the move, this site will grow.

Everyone had to resubmit their usernames unfortunately. The version of vBulletin we are on now is three and a half generations more advanced than what we had prior to the merger with TI/scout

I needed a vaction, and then work changed substantially. I'm over 50 hour weeks, plus two hours a day of commuting time. A few weeks ago I launched my own blog about Seattle Sounders FC and Life in Puget Sound. I won't be by these parts often as my focus has changed. Sorry about the unannounced retirement.
