Don't know who "people in the organization" are, but I thought this was interesting:
Quote:
Even if Harden turns it all around and becomes dominant, I don't see him signing after his FA year, but this article kind of tells me that if he turns it around this year, he might be gone at the deadline. Assuming (big if, I know) he stays healthy, he could bring in a big haul. What say my three fellow lurkers around here?

Well, I read similar comments at the end of the season, that he was blaming people in the organization for pressuring him to come back too quickly from injury. Wouldn't surprise me at all if Beane was one of them.
I can understand his frustration, but at the same time he should understand theirs (and ours), investing in a guy whose spent more time being injured than actually pitching. If he comes back with a fully healthy, impressive season....as a fan, I would still assume it was temporary and be wary of signing him to a long-term deal, either way. |
