Hell, even saying they will select him puts pressure on other teams to trade up to #2. A mistake in some franchise cases.
Using the Offense performance as an excuse for why Calvin shouldn't be in Detroit can be used with the Bucs too though -- the OL is horrid, the QB position is questionable (Jeff Garcia isn't a dependable starter, nor is Chris Simms), and the system is overly complicated. Detroit's biggest excuse for not drafting Johnson is having stockpiled WR's from the draft as is. Do they need ANOTHER WR threat? |

I think the Johnson pick works, only because they got Stanton in the middle 2nd, who I think was the 4th best QB in this draft behind Russell, Quinn, and Beck

Ahhh, he's better than Beck. Now that we have Foster on our line our offense should be very dangerous.
