As an Eagles fan, I am stunned and shocked by this move for Kolb. I wanna give this kid a chance, but this was a reach. I do like their other picks though, the DE from Notre Dame, along with LB Stewart Bradley and RB Tony Hunt.

They have Sean Taylor. A great Safety who would be a wonderful CF if he got it out of his head that he wanted to be a LB. So all he wants to do is come up on the run and hit people in the box.

They sign Adam Archuleta in the off-season to be the CF. Adam Archuleta's weakness is his coverage skills. He rarely plays and gets traded after that ridiculous contract.

They draft LaRon Landry to play CF. LaRon Landy is a wonderful hitter who loves to come up in the box and stuff the run.

Ummm, hello...you keep on picking the same damn safety and you can only play ONE of that type!!!! Why not trade down and take Reggie Nelson who is a perfect CF?
Actually... I like what they did there (and I am NO Skins fan)..... Landry is not going to play CF, they is what Taylor is going to do. Landry's strong point is playmaking, coming up in the box, tackling, etc. This is going to make one dangerous duo over the middle for the Skins... This is probably the first time this much talent (notice I did not say skill) is in the saftey position sof one team at the same time. This could be groundbreaking, in terms of how teams draft or recruit safteys and in the gameplay on the field.

If Taylor can actually get out of that mindset, then yes. But this is the same thing as the Archuleta move. I don't understand why they wouldn't have tried this move with Adam then, it took them trading him away to think of moving Taylor deep? That doesn't make sense.

Default NFL draft entry requirement

I just have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to anywhere. When was the NFL draft entry requirement (3 years removed from high school) implemented? I cannot find the answer to this question anywhere.

Also, have any NFL players ever been drafted out of high school or with less than three years out of high school?

Is the rule that players must play at least 3 years of college ball, or that they just must be out of high school for three years, but don't necessarily need to be playing college ball during those three years?

Can players be drafted from Arena Football without 3 years of prior college ball experience?

Default And another thing

If NFL players must be three years removed from high school, why is it that during a game, when players run off their names and where they went to school, some of them say their name and then their High School, but make no mention of a college?
