The Post(I know, very uncredible) has suggested that the Yankees make a play for Dontrelle Willis centering around Melky Cabrera and adding Humberto Sanchez and possibly another prospect. Here is my question to you all: to you, does it seem entirely possible that the Yankees acquire Dontrelle Willis? If so, or even if not, what is your trade proposal to the Marlins? Here is what I think is a fair proposal. This is not something I might necessarily do, but it to me it would be even:
Marlins receive: RHP Philip Hughes OF Melky Cabrera RHP(reliever) Jay Brent Cox Yankees receive: LHP Dontrelle Willis Maybe you could replace OF Brett Gardener for Cox. You may think that is too much to give, but I'll tell you this: this is closer to what the Marlins will ask for then a package centered around Sanchez and Cabrera, and rightfully so. |

I rather not trade Hughes/Cabrera for anybody right now.
I said it the last time Willis name came up and i'll say it this time, Just say no. He may be a good pitcher, but im tired of trading the future. Were finally getting back on track down in the minors and a trade for Willis can and will kill the farm system agian. |
