Default Todd Helton going to Yankees?

Quote:
The New York Yankees have a gap at first base. The Colorado Rockies probably wouldn't mind unloading Todd Helton's salary. So it's natural that the two sides are paired in trade rumors.

Is it true that Helton said he would veto a trade to New York? "I have never said publicly that I wouldn't go to any team," Helton said.

Take it for a big grain of salt. It seems Helton doesn't really want to play for a big city franchise, but he never clearly stated it.

Aquiring Helton would definetly boost the Yankees batting because Helton still bats for a high average. But would he crumble under the pressure in New York?

The Yankees don't seem interested in adding Helton's salary for the value you get. There are cheaper alternatives to help with this situation.
