Default Yanks going after Shea Hillenbrand?

Quote:
The New York Yankees have talked to the Los Angeles Angels about Shea Hillenbrand, a right-handed hitting first baseman they were interested in this past offseason when he was a free agent.

Hillenbrand has seen his role reduced as Casey Kotchman emerged as a legitimate corner-infield power threat.

The Yankees will eventually get Doug Mientkiewicz back from wrist surgery.

Shea is not having a good season, but he also isn't getting the playing time I thought he would be getting. Last season Shea made close to 6 million, but obsiously money isn't a concern for the Yankees!

The Yankees first basemen seemed to have had bad luck over the past few weeks, so a move to get Shea would not suprise me.
