The newspapers are reporting that the Cincinnati Reds had a scout at Tuesday night's game between the Yankees and Diamondbacks. The Reds have Adam Dunn and former Yankees David Weathers, among others, available.
The Yankees could use a firstbaseman and Dunn has played 1Bin teh majors. They could also use an arm to help get to Mariano. Could the Reds have interest in some of the Yankees' players? I think both Farnsworth and Vizcaino, for example, might do better if they went back to the NL. (And in Viz's case, got out of New York. This year's frontrunner for the Ed Whitson Award.)
