The Yankees have the two leading hitters in the American League, yet the offense can't scoire runs. Other than Jeter, Posada, and A-Rod, teh bats are so dead they'll have to have a funeral. (Once the new Stadium goes up, we can use the Hallowed Ground as a graveyard for the Yankee bats.)
Abreu especially is smelling up the Bronx. is it time for a major trade? I'd like to bring in a Dunn (who can play the OF corners and 1B), a Burrell, or whomever can wake up this offense. I'd also like to see Bernie back. He hit .280 last year, and I think his veteran presence can help this club. I think he did more for leadership than anyone ever admitted and the team misses it. |
